CWM RHAIADER ESTATE

MACHNYLLETH, MID WALES

DYFI FALLS

The Story of 'Dyfi Falls'

Located on the Cwm Rhaiader (meaning “Valley of the Waterfall”) Estate near the village of Machnylleth, in Mid Wales, the Dyfi Falls shoot is a real gem.

The shoot was a brand-new addition to Cambrian Sporting's portfolio for the 2020/21 season and had never previously been shot over.  Bringing you deep into the Welsh Countryside, the beautiful long driveway on to the estate really sets the scene for your shoot day.

As you pull up to our shoot lodge you will be able to see the stunning waterfall which sits at the head of one of the valleys. The waterfall also forms the centrepiece for a very exciting drive!

The shoot offers mixed days of Pheasants and Partridges, shown from a variety of covers including woodland, bracken covered banks and game covers. The steep sided valleys allow us to present high-flying birds flying straight back to their home at the centre of the estate. However, the nature of the long sweeping valleys means there are swirling winds that will mean the lines of the birds can be quite deceiving. They certainly keep our guests on their toes!
